In "Shuanghui Food Town" near Luohe City - Henan province, China - MPS built a complete pig slaughter system designed by MPS for a capacity of 500 carcasses per hour. The grand opening took place in December 2000. Fifteen months later the same system is processing 620 carcasses per hour with two shifts per day, working 360 days per year. A modern pig slaughter facility with the latest technologies.

Shuanghui Group is one of the top 520 enterprises of China. In 1998 Shuanghui succeeded to issue its share at Shenzhen stock market: the first share of meat products in China. The total daily meat product output is 1.500 tons.

Midas electronic stunning: This automatic stunner with conveyor belt is designed to reduce pigs' stress and prevent broken bones supporting pigs gently and well on the belly. Stunning is done by sending constant current / low voltage to both sides of the head and to the heart. Each stunning process is monitored.

New generation of scalding: Introduction of "the condensation scalding tunnel process" is the most outstanding point of this new plant. This method, often referred as the third generation technology, submerged scalding being the first and shower scalding the second, utilises the latest technology.

Dehairing line: After bleeding, carcasses are transported to the dehairing line. The dehairing line consists of a pre-washer, condensation heating tunnel, dehairing machine, dryer, flaming furnace, and polishing machine. Condensation heating works on the skin surface, evenly opening up the pores without heating the underlying tissue, thus almost no damage to the meat and organs. It also prevents cross contamination.

Ergonomic evisceration: The most used evisceration system in the USA, EU and China. This system enables high capacity slaughtering with ergonomic working positions. White offals are dropped in a pan and the red offals are hung on hooks without 180 degree turn-a-round of the workers.
